OREF prides itself on being 100% donor supported. In addition to financial gifts, we also welcome and appreciate your gifts of time and talent! Volunteering to serve on a committee or help spread the word about the good and important work OREF is doing to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes is another great way to support our mission. If you're interested in other ways to support OREF, take a look at the opportunities below.

OREF Ambassador

Our amazing state Ambassadors encourage their fellow surgeons to contribute to OREF. You may choose to give a short presentation about OREF or send an email discussing sharing why you support OREF and encouraging others to do the same. We are here to assist you with slides and other resources. Ambassadors are asked to commit to 3-5 hours per year on behalf of OREF for a three-year term.

OREF Peer Reviewer

Our Peer Reviewers play a vital role in helping OREF select research studies for funding. Individuals with expertise in areas supported by the OREF and who have received research grant support from the NIH or other large-scale sponsors in the roles of PI or Co-PI are ideal candidates.

Resident Research Symposium Host

Our Resident Research Symposia give orthopaedic residents at training programs across the country an opportunity to present original research while networking with mentors and peers from other programs. A critical part of our success is our host institutions, which provide a venue for the symposium, promote it to their residents and welcome participants from other programs in their area.
