2025 Lifetime Service Awards Announced

Richard D. Coutts, MD, FAAOS, and William C. McMaster, MD, FAAOS, received 2025 Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) Lifetime Service Awards at the OREF Board of Trustees Reception during the AAOS Annual Meeting in San Diego. The award recognizes individuals and organizations that have built a legacy of service to OREF through their commitment of time, expertise and philanthropy in support of OREF’s mission. As a trustee (1993-2001), Dr. Coutts served as the chairman of the board (1999–2000) and chair of the Research Grants Committee (1996-1998). He is a Shands Circle Platinum, Callaghan Legacy Society, and 44-year Order of Merit donor. Dr. McMaster served two terms on the board from 1998–2006 and 2013–2018, including serving as secretary from 2003–2006 and as a peer reviewer. He is a Shands Circle Platinum, Callaghan Legacy Society, Visionary Research Society, and 33-year Order of Merit donor. The awards were presented by OREF President Joshua J. Jacobs, MD, FAAOS.
